What is Borosilicate Glass?

Borosilicate glass is made mainly of silica and boron oxide. Known for having low thermal expansion properties, this type of glass is less subject to thermal stress and shock due to temperature extremes. This means that the glass can go from hot to cold and vice versa without risk of cracking or breaking, as well as being microwave, dishwasher, and stovetop safe. Borosilicate glass is a widely used material in cookware and beverageware products due to its heat resistance, durability, and versatility.

Something Extraordinary Is Brewing

The Primula Tea Experience Gift Set is packaged with a sampling of six of our famous flowering teas and three loose teas in green, black, and white varieties. All Primula teas are made of grade AA green tea leaves, and our flowering teas combine fresh green tea leaves with all-natural flowers, blended 5 times with jasmine for a fresh, aromatic scent, and hand-sewn into small clusters that unfurl and brew when placed into hot water. Because there are no tea bags or filters to remove the beneficial antioxidants and the wonderful flavor of the tea, flowering and loose teas allow you to bring out the best taste of the tea while enjoying the visual experience of the blooming process and the ability to create your own special loose leaf blend. Each tea flower comes individually sealed in a foil pouch to preserve freshness, and can be used three times within 24 hours, making up to 15 cups of tea each, and each loose tea variety comes in a resealable foil pouch. How To Brew Flowering Teas

Brewing flowering teas is a wonderful way to enjoy the health benefits of green tea, as well as a delightful visual spectacle.

How to Brew Primula Flowering Tea:

• Insert 1 tea flower into the hand-blown borosilicate glass tea pot
• Carefully pour boiling water over the tea flower
• Cover the tea pot and enjoy watching the tea flower bloom as the tea brews
• When the tea reaches your desired strength, pour and enjoy!

Primula tea flowers may be stored in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours after their first use, and can be brewed up to three times per flower.

How To Brew Loose Leaf Tea

Black Tea

White Tea

Green Tea

• Place approximately 1tsp per 8oz of water into the tea infuser
• Gently set the infuser inside the tea pot
• Slowly pour hot water over the tea, through the tea infuser
• Allow the tea to steep according to the recommended brewing time for that type of tea (see below)
• When the tea reaches your desired strength, pour and enjoy!

Loose leaf tea may be steeped up to 3 times in one use.

Recommended Brewing Times for Loose Tea

Time and temperature are essential to getting the most flavor from a pot of tea. The following chart shows the recommended brewing temperatures and times for the most popular types of loose leaf tea.
